"Fatal Neck Stabbing in Adamawa Claims Life of 17-Year-Old"

A 19-year-old individual named Zakariyau Saad fatally stabbed 17-year-old Muhammed Yahaya in the neck in Yola South Local Government Area, Adamawa State. 

The Adamawa State Police Command arrested Saad, a resident of Wuro Hausa in Yola South LGA, on September 26, 2023, following a report from Damdu Ward residents in Yola South LGA.

According to a statement by SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the spokesperson for the Command, the residents reported that they had found an unidentified young man lying in a pool of blood with a stab wound in his neck. 

The victim was rushed to the hospital by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Yola, where he was confirmed deceased.

Commissioner of Police CP Afolabi Babatola has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police CID to oversee the investigation and ensure diligent prosecution.
