ADAMAWA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY SET FOR MORE EFFECTIVE LEGISLATION FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE.
Twenty five members of Adamawa state Assembly under the leadership of Rt.Hon Bathiya Wesley have successfully completed retreat for returning and new members geared towards enhancing legislative procedures.
The event which took place in Jos plateau state powered by House standing committees on legislative compliance and special duties, exposed the lawmakers on various legislative processes geared towards preparing them for the task ahead.
Various resources persons comprising Clerk to the House Umar Usman Hamidu Laleh, Deputy clerk, some Directors and others from the National Assembly deliberated extensively on what is expected of the state Legislators.
Speaker of the state Assembly Rt.Hon Bathiya Wesley who is also member representing Hong constituency expressed gratitude to God and his colleagues for making the retreat a huge success.
He maintained that the 8th Assembly members have come with vigor to work for the interest of their constituents, assuring that the cordial relationship existing between legislature and executive arm in the state will be sustained.
Rt.Hon Bathiya Wesley reiterates that the knowledge and experience acquired during the retreat will further enhance the productivity of the 8th Assembly towards making laws that have direct bearing on the citizenry.
The speaker thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his support to the state Assembly, saying such support has resulted to the success of the retreat.
He called on the people of the state to continue to support the Fintiri led administration as it is committed towards the progress and development of the state.
