25 YRS OLD KEKE NAPEP THIEF ARRESTED IN ADAMAWA

Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 25 years old man identified as Suleiman Auwal for allegedly stealing a tricycle.

Auwal who hails from Yobe State but resides at Asorok, in Jambutu,Yola North LGA has since confessed to the crime.


The accused made away with the tricycle (Keke NAPEP) belonging to one Abubakar Usman on Friday, the 2nd June, 2023, at Juma'at Mosque, Jimeta Ultra Modern Market.


The suspect, who also performed his prayer at the Mosque, hurriedly completed his prayers and rushed to where tricycles were packed and stole one of it.


He confessed that he was using it for commercial purposes around Wullere in Jambutu until when he was arrested.


He explained that he was paying the sum of N100 to a local security man in order to guard the tricycle so that nobody will steal it.


Confirming the arrest the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that the suspect is currently in police custody.


SP Nguroje said that the Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, had ordered for discreet investigation as well as the prosecution of the suspect.
