MURUM MBULA CONFERS CHIEFTAINCY TITLE (NKANDANG MBULA) ON HIS EXCELLENCY, RT. HONOURABLE AHMADU UMARU FINTIRI, THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF ADAMAWA STATE
As the Presidential/Governorship campaign train storms Borrong to canvass for votes in Borrong, Dilli, Gwamba and Mbula wards of Demsa Local Government Area towards the February/March 2023 general elections, the governor made the Palace of the Murum his first port of call.
To express the gratitude of the kingdom for the great developmental impacts the Fresh Air governor has made, the Murum Mbula conferred the title of Nkandang Mbula on the Governor. The literal meaning of this title in the Mbula tongue is FENCE. The security drive of His Excellency which has boosted the hitherto dwindling economic activities and peaceful co-existence in the kingdom is just one out of the several achievements of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The excitement that greeted the reception of His Excellency is one of its kind. This is owed to the hospitable nature of the warrior tribe of the Benue Valley. His Excellency who said he finds Borrong and indeed Mbula Land as home, was truly relaxed as he considered his visit as a formality since he believes Mbula votes are all for their great party, the PDP.
