SOCIAL COMPARISON AND ENVY

Some of the people you envy and jealous on social media in real life you are supposed to pity them. Now listen:

A guy came to find out that most of the girls in his area love to follow guys with cars and he finds it difficult to attract them. One day he put on his best clothes and went to where they sell cars, he told the car dealer that his father wants to buy car so he was asked to price the car and send the pictures to his father. The car dealer was so excited about it, so he was the one holding the phone and was snapping the guy. The guy gladly went back home and uploaded all the pictures on social media, come and see likes and comments including the fine girls that don't like replying his message started sending him different kind of messages.

There was a girl who loves show up on social media but people don't really know what she does, they took her to be a girl with rich parents but this is what she does; she will go to the most expensive botique and ask them that she needs the best latest clothes. When they have show her the place, she will ask the seller to give her space so that she can be testing the clothes. Each clothe she tested she will take selfie with it, when she is done, she will take the clothes back the sellers then tell them that she was disappointed with the kind of clothes they sell. As she is living that place, she start uploading those pictures on social media then ignorant people will start commenting; beautiful, sexy, classic, babe you fine etc.

Social media is where people go to share their thoughts but the majority of people there are attention seekers, they do anything and everything to get likes and comments. The day their pictures do not have plenty likes and comments they become sick. Most of the time people upload pictures when they have bought new clothes, shoes, or cars etc. So they will come to social media to tell the world what they have bought, some borrow things just to snap picture with them and upload for comments and likes. You, as their Facebook or Instagram friend when you see their pictures with amazing clothes you become depressed and start asking God "Why me???" The worse part is if the person is someone you know before or your age grade, that night you will not sleep. You will blame yourself all through the night for not making money to look good like your friend saw on Facebook without knowing whether he or she borrow those clothes and shoes. Do not use what you see on social media to be a standard to judge your life, most of them fake rather use it to learn.

Our society is teaching our young girls that without photoshopping their pictures they will never be beautiful, therefore in almost all girls phone you will find picture editing app because no more self-confidence only the one the app tells us. This has put a lot of pressure on many girls to look good on social media. Sorry to say this but is true, many girls have reduced the value of their lives down to only their body parts. This is reason why some girls upload pictures with their breast out and turning their back for boys to see their buttocks. I recalled one of Nigeria worldly musician saying that the girl with the biggest buttocks is better than the one with a Master degree, there is truth in it because this generation, boys don't care about how your face looks, your back is Ok for them. You see on social media the girl with the biggest buttocks has more followers, likes and comments than others. So this has made many girls restless, they think about how to get big buttocks too. Some go for plastic surgery just to get it while some use app to Photoshop every part of their bodies before uploading it on social media. What a world we living in.

We are not in this world to compete with one another, we are here to complete one another. God did not make a mistake in creating you the way you are, He did not make a mistake that you do not have what others have. So be yourself, no one is greater than you because No one can do what you do. With or without social media your life will be sweet and interesting because God will bring people that will appreciate you the way you are. Don't border yourself about things that will one day perish but fill your thoughts with what will last forever. No one, or No app should make you feel less important.
